2013 US Open Cup qualifying: Polonia Wallington defeat Go Soccer FC to reach New Jersey final

Go Soccer may have come in with the experience, but it was first-time entry Polonia who came away victorious after a penalty kick by Zbigniew Puzio in the 99th minute of extra time to give PW a 2-1 win and a ticket to the New Jersey Final on March 24.

2012 US Open Cup qualifying: Jersey Shore Boca takes New Jersey USASA title in penalties after 1-1 draw

After a pair of first half goals in the New Jersey State Final Saturday, Go Soccer SC and Jersey Shore Boca went deadlocked for the remainder of the contest, sending the match to overtime and eventually penalties. Jersey Shore would prevail 5-4 with a save in the final round, advancing to the Region I USASA tournament.

2012 US Open Cup qualifying: Massachusetts, New Jersey crown USASA state champions Saturday

The Massachusetts Open Cup final is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Dilboy Field in Somerville, while New Jersey’s championship game will be played at 1:30 p.m. at the John F. Patrick Sports Complex in Lakewood, NJ.

2011 US Open Cup qualifying: Cup veterans NY Pancyprian Freedoms qualify along with first timers Phoenix SC (Video)

In two very contrasting USASA Region I semifinal matches, the three-time US Open Cup champion New York Pancyprian Freedoms qualified for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup for the fifth time in the Pro Era with a dramatic 4-2 victory against Mass Premier Soccer while Phoenix SC of Philadelphia shutout Go Soccer FC 3-0 to advance to the tournament for the first time. Both clubs won on the road.

Home field proved to be a deciding factor on the day as each of the four hosts were victorious in the Quarterfinals of USASA Region I qualifying for the 2011 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Sunday afternoon. Moving onto the Semifinals were Go Soccer FC (NJ), Mass Premier Soccer (MA), NY Pancyprian Freedoms (East NY) and Phoenix SC (East PA).
