Lamar Hunt US Open Cup debutants Harpo’s FC celebrated their first tournament berth with a Preliminary Round win over the Kansas City Athletics by a score of 2-0.

Harpo’s FC will take on the Kansas City Athletics in Sunday’s championship game (Noon CT), but since the Athletics have already qualified for the 102nd tournament through the USASA, the Boulder, Colorado club will represent the USSSA.

Colorado Rovers repeat as USSSA champions, clinch US Open Cup berth in shutout-filled qualifying tournament

Goalkeeper Mark Saxby of the Colorado Rovers didn’t allow a single goal throughout the tournament and was named MVP of the championship game as they defeated the Kansas City Athletics 1-0 in extra time.

Those four winners will square off on Sunday in Overland Park, Kan. to decide which club will represent the USSSA in the 101st edition of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, which will kick off in May.
