The Round of 16 means we set a bracket for the rest of the tournament. All remaining teams in the 2019 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup have learned their path to taking the cup.
The United States Soccer Federation announced the draw and schedule for the Round of 16 of the 106th edition of the tournament that will take place June 18-20. The teams were grouped into four regional pools of four teams. Atlanta United and Charleston Battery were grouped together as their Fourth Round match was rescheduled for tonight. From within those regional pools, US Soccer drew the teams into pairings. In addition, through the random selection process, the hosts for the Quarterfinal round were also determined. Only New Mexico United did not apply to host for either the Round of 16 or the Quarterfinals and therefore were drawn away in both rounds.
The winners from the Round of 16 will advance to the Quarterfinals which are scheduled to be played July 10. US Soccer also determined which regions will match up in the Semifinals. A separate draw on July 11 will determine hosts for the semifinals and the final.
All games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ as part of the tournament’s new media rights agreement.
