With June nearly complete, and three of the four regional champions officially qualified for the National Amateur Cup, that just leaves Region II (the Midwest) as the last spot available for the national final four in Milwaukee. Two teams have qualified for the Region II final sometime in July.
Michigan Rangers FC of the National Premier Soccer League have made the most of their Amateur Cup debut. The team knocked off Open Cup regulars Chicago House AC in the Quarterfinals before cruising past Michigan Stars U-23s in the semifinals. They will face a juggernaut of Midwest soccer; Chicago-based RWB Adria of the Midwest Premier League. The two-time National Amateur Cup champion beat long-time rival Bavarian United SC from Wisconsin in the Quarterfinals and then stunned the defending Region II champion and defending national runner-up FC Milwaukee Torrent in the Semifinals.
