2010 US Open Cup Semifinals: Seattle Sounders will defend Open Cup title at home after 3-1 win vs. Chivas USA

The Sounders, undefeated in Open Cup play on the FieldTurf of the Starfire Sports Complex in suburban Tukwila, advanced to the final with a 3-1 win over Chivas USA Wednesday night in front of a sold-out crowd of 4,547 fans. Seattle won the bid to host the game at Qwest Field if they reached the final, and will face the Columbus Crew on Oct. 5 for the chance to add a second trophy to their case.

2010 U.S. Open Cup Third Round: Chivas USA hold on, defeat Austin 1-0

Chivas USA scored early, then held on to defeat USSF Second Division team Austin Aztex, snapping two winless streaks. The Goats had not won a game in almost two months, and had not won an Open Cup match in seven years.
