Detroit City FC battled valiantly against the United Soccer League side FC Cincinnati for 90 minutes to a 1-1 draw in the US Open Cup. Unfortunately for the underdogs from the Motor City, the cup match went an additional 30 minutes, and FC Cincinnati rallied to score three in extra time to defeat the NPSL club 4-1.
