2016 US Open Cup Quarterfinals: Chicago Fire end Fort Lauderdale Strikers’ Cinderella run, make history in process

With the win, the Fire advance to the Semifinals for the fourth year in a row. They also become the first club in the 103-year history of the US Open Cup to reach four straight Semifinals twice (2003-06, 2013-16).

Chattanooga FC used a late goal to propel them to extra time against the Ocala Stampede and goalkeeper Gregory Hartley scored from the mark to secure a victory in the First Round of the 2015 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

2013 US Open Cup Third Round: Mike Magee scores in Fire debut as Chicago clips Charlotte Eagles, 2-0

Early goals in each half propelled the Chicago Fire into the fourth round of the 100th U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday night with a 2-0 victory over the host Charlotte Eagles in Rock Hill, S.C. on the campus of Winthrop University.

2012 US Open Cup Round 3: USL Pro’s winless Dayton Dutch Lions rally past Crew in Columbus, 2-1

Go ahead, try to wipe the smile off of Dayton Dutch Lions coach Ivar van Dinteren’s face. It wouldn’t go away Tuesday night. The third division Dutch Lions of USL Pro are on to the Fourth Round of play in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup after a stunning come-from-behind 2-1 win over the MLS side Columbus Crew in the final 11 minutes at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio in front of a sparse crowd of 1,646 at the massive arena.

2012 US Open Cup First Round: Michigan Bucks steamroll Jersey Shore Boca 6-0
