2011 US Open Cup Qualifying: ASC New Stars & Regals FC claim berths at USASA Region III tournament

The draw for the USASA Region III Open Men’s tournament to be held in recently tornado-ravaged Tuscaloosa, Alabama May 27-30 that will also determine the region’s two Lamar Hunt US Open Cup berths was held at the University of Alabama Recreational Center Thursday evening. The draw set the stage for the next four days of competition, which kicks off Friday morning at 10:00 am ET.

USASA Region III field set for 2011 US Open Cup qualifying

The draw for the competition will take place, as it is annually, on the eve of the tournament, May 26. The tournament will be held on Memorial Day weekend in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at the University of Alabama Recreational Center.

2011 US Open Cup qualifying: Royal Eagles Earn Florida Open Cup Title, top Florida Gators 3-2

A pair of long-range strikes by Kirk LaBusch and Mark DeBolla lifted the Royal Eagles to a 3-2 victory against the Florida Gators to win the Florida Open Cup title at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Royal Eagles SC will host the Florida Gators, the university’s club team, on Sunday, April 10 at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the winner will represent the state at the USASA Region III tournament in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Memorial Day weekend.
