2015 US Open Cup qualifying: North Carolina’s Triangle Brigade wins USASA Region III title over NTX Rayados
North Carolina-based Triangle Brigade won the tournament in their first attempt and are expected to join North Texas Rayados in the 2015 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
The potential pairings and host scenarios have been announced by the US Soccer Federation for the 2014 US Open Cup Quarterfinals set for July 8-9. As many as three lower division sides could host one of the four contests in the round with an all-MLS foursome in the other potential scenario out west.
2015 US Open Cup qualifying updates: Two USASA Region III spots to be decided this weekend in Alabama
While the official format for the 2015 US Open Cup is not expected to be announced until next year, USASA officials are expecting to retain their two Region III spots, so the champion and the runner-up of the tournament will qualify.
