After three years on GolTV, the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Final has a new home and a bigger audience. A source has told TheCup.us that the 2015 US Open Cup Final will be broadcast live on either Fox Sports 1 or Fox Sports 2 as part of a new deal between Fox and the United States Soccer Federation and Soccer United Marketing. There is no word on if the deal will include earlier round games, or the length of the contract.
The Final returns to Fox, who held the rights for six years from 2006-11 and aired the title game on Fox Soccer Channel. Fox has been the rights holder to the Final for 12 of the last 20 years, since professional teams re-joined the tournament after a long hiatus in 1995.
The format and schedule for the 102nd edition of the US Open Cup has yet to be announced and is traditionally announced in the spring.
