Every year, TheCup.us introduces all eight of the USASA clubs who qualify for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup to American soccer fans everywhere.

The clubs profiled in this feature don’t often make headlines during the long qualifying process, but all of them have a goal once the tournament begins: to become this year’s Open Cup Cinderella story.

2007 First Round: Closing time for Lynch’s Irish Pub; Charlotte Eagles move on 2-0

The final game of the First Round was completed on Wednesday, June 13 with the Charlotte Eagles defeating the USASA’s Lynch’s Irish Pub 2-0.

Dustin Swinehart and Jacob Coggins scored for Charlotte, but the man of the match was goalkeeper Dan Benton, who made eight saves.
