
Wednesday night’s game between the Philadelphia Union and the New York Red Bulls at Subaru Park was postponed due to torrential storms. The match will now be played next month.

The national anthem had just concluded when the game was delayed due to lightning in the area. What started as 20 minutes, soon became an almost two-hour delay.
Fans were advised to shelter in place along the stadium concourse. At approximately 8:45 p.m., the game was postponed due to unplayable field conditions and lighting storms.
Moments later, the Union announced that the game will be played on Wednesday, Aug. 13. The game will take place during an open week in the middle of the Leagues Cup.
