As part of the ongoing MLS Jersey Week leading up to opening weekend of the league season, the Philadelphia Union today unveiled the new third jersey, a retro design created to honor the Philadelphia area’s most successful soccer club Bethlehem Steel.

The United States Soccer Federation announced the potential host sites for the 2012 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Final. Philadelphia Union will face Sporting Kansas City in the Semifinals on Tuesday, followed by Seattle Sounders hosting Chivas USA.

The US Open Cup magic finally ran out for the Harrisburg City Islanders against their MLS affiliates, the Philadelphia Union. The Union got three early goals and weathered a fierce Harrisburg comeback to eventually win 5-2.
