The United States Soccer Federation unveiled the semifinal pairings as well as the potential dates and locations of the for the upcoming final four set for August 12-13.
Among the host scenarios determined by coin flip at the USSF office this morning, the NASL’s Carolina RailHawks could potentially host one of the two semifinal contests should they advance from their quarterfinal match against FC Dallas Wednesday evening in Cary, NC. They will host the winner of Tuesday’s match between the New England Revolution and Philadelphia Union.
In the other foursome, the host will be the winner of the Cascadia showdown Wednesday night between the the Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers in Washington. Traveling west will be either the Chicago Fire or the Atlanta Silverbacks, who square off Wednesday in Georgia.
