  • russ says:

has the final venue been decided yet i.e. bid on?

  • The bids for the final aren’t due until August 24 at 3pm Eastern Time.

  • Dee says:

What if the final is Richmond Seattle at Richmond? That would be epic.

  • I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that Seattle can probably out-bid and out-sell the Kickers …

  • Fotbalist says:

I think they should decide the location for the final before the beginning of the campaign. It’s easier to market for it, and sell it to advertisers, media, etc. Not to mention it would build up the tournament as a more serious enterprise.

  • Let’s be honest. If you have the final set well in advance in, let’s say, Kansas City (a central location). And let’s say they keep the final midweek. If it’s Los Angeles vs. New England, how many fans are going to make that trip on a Tuesday or Wednesday? How many Kansas City fans are going to show up to watch two teams play for the title? Just something to consider.
